In this master class, I will tell and show how to cut a round neckline with a vertical cut in front in a cut-through manner.
1. Reinforce the neckline with a non-woven formband (buy at Burda store) to prevent deformation and stretching, grind and iron the shoulder seams of the product (side seams of the product remain open until the end of the neckline is finished).
2. Make a trim cut. Cut the trim strictly in the shape of the neck. Sew and reinforce the gaps of the front and back of the neck and grind with glue gasket to grind, connecting the shoulder sections. Iron seams for grinding. Overcast the outer edge of the overlock on an overlock or zigzag.
Neither the groove nor the product need to be cut immediately
3. To impose a facing with the front side on the front side of the neckline of the product, connecting the stitching seams with the shoulder seams of the product and the middle of the front and back facing, respectively, with the middle of the front and back of the product.
4. To notice the groove, departing from the edge of the neck by 0.7-1 cm.
To stitch on both sides cut lines.
Sew a line along the neckline. The line should go along the chain seam of the non-woven-gang.
Stitch on both sides of the intended cut line at a distance of 1-2 mm. ABOUTI usually do this twice, with small stitches, trying to get the seam into the seam.I do this in order to prevent the fabric from spreading from the seam along the cut line. At the end of the cut line, sew a stitch to the corner or make 1-2 cross stitches.
5. And so only now can neatlyWithout breaking the line, make a cut along the intended line between the two vertical lines. Scissors (buy at Burda store) necessarily must be sharp.
6. Seam allowances along the entire length of the neckline, not reaching the line. Cut corners at the beginning of the cut.
7. Turn the trim to the wrong side, sweep the edge and iron.
So that the stitching does not turn out, it must be secured in the shoulder seams and in the middle seam of the back (if any) with hidden stitches with a thread in the tone of the fabric.
8. On the front side, you can lay the finishing line along the neckline and section close to the edge or at some distance from it.
That's all. Good luck
