An alternative for those who know how to knit and a simple solution for those who bypasses the knitting needles, but who masterly handles a needle and a sewing machine - a charming do-it-yourself beanie hat.

Sewing a trendy beanie hat is easy.

How to quickly sew a hat

You will need:

✂ Knitted fabric with elastic (you can use an old sweater or pullover);

✂ tracing paper;

✂ Tailor pins;

✂ Scissors;

✂ Needle and thread for sewing;

✂ Tailor's chalk or marker on the fabric;

✂ Pencil;

✂ Sewing machine or overlock

Step 1

Fold the tracing paper in half, then cut it in half again and, according to the diagram, draw a hat pattern. Cut out.

Step 2

Lay out the pattern of the cap, it should look exactly the same as in the picture.

Step 3

Using the tailor's chalk, transfer the contours of the paper pattern of the cap to the fabric. Cut it out.

Step 4

Fold the detail of the cap pattern as shown in the photo.

Suture along a short cut from above.

Then, stitch along the long cut, finishing it exactly at the base of the knitted elastic.

Turn the cap to the front side and grind short sections of the knitted elastic.Then the seam on the lapel will not be visible from the front of the cap.

If you plan to wear a beanie hat without a lapel, then stitch along the long cut completely from the wrong side.
