You will need:
- a few fresh leaves;
- liquid dye for fabric;
- directly fabric (recommended linen or cotton);
- containers for mixing paint;
- a piece of cardboard in size slightly larger than the size of the patch of fabric to be dyed, and a plastic film to cover the cardboard;
- wide flat brush;
- spray with water;
- you may need tailor pins or small weights, pebbles will do.

Step 1
Spread the collected leaves and put them under the press at night (or at least for several hours). Wash the fabric before work; you can leave it slightly damp.
Step 2
Spread the film on the cardboard. Spread the fabric to be coated on top.Dilute the dye with water in containers in the ratio of 2 parts of water to 1 part of the dye. If the fabric is dry, moisten it evenly from the spray bottle with water. Wet cloth can only be sprayed on slightly. Brush the paint quickly onto the fabric.
Step 3
Arrange the leaves on the fabric as you like. You can create a pattern, as in this photo, or arrange the leaves randomly. Press each sheet closer to the fabric.
Step 4
Now the structure must be left in direct sunlight. If you are drying the fabric on a street where it is windy, pin the leaves in some places or crush them with pebbles.
Wait for the fabric to dry. This is usually not for long - in fine weather, the thin fabric dries in an hour.
Remove the leaves. Iron the fabric. Done.
