No matter how simple this process may seem, there are certain nuances, the first of which is the choice of a suitable shampoo.
For daily hair wash suitable shampoo with a pH balance not exceeding 5.0-6.0. Higher rates indicate an alkaline base shampoo that can dry hair. It is good if the product contains moisturizing natural oils, plant extracts (chamomile, aloe vera, calendula), seaweed, ceramides.Dyed hair require special shampoos that do not wash out the artificial pigment, and contribute to its consolidation. This is especially true for hair dyed in bright and dark shades, as well as after using demi-permanent dyes. Pay attention to products with extracts of sunflower, hibiscus, a complex of vegetable oils that restore moisture balance and enhance shine. Special products maintain color brightness and neutralize yellowness in blondes.
Problem oily hair lies in the scalp, or rather, in the too active work of the sebaceous glands. In this case, self-regulating shampoos with extracts of lemon, eucalyptus, nettle, zinc, and brown seaweed will be indispensable. These funds normalize the water-lipid balance. You do not need to use them daily. After 3-4 washings, the hair will stay clean longer and it is better to keep styling.Oily scalp is often combined with thin hair. Shampoos with panthenol in the composition will help. It makes curls more dense and voluminous.
Correctly wash your hair - The whole art, hairdressers are sure. A small amount of shampoo needs to be foamed in the hands and only then applied to wet hair, massage the scalp properly. Rinse and then apply the product again, distributing it along the entire length of the hair. The abundance of foam is not an indicator of the quality of cleansing. Sulfate-free products give very little foam, but at the same time remove dirt well. If the scalp reacts negatively to the usual shampoos, itching and a feeling of tightness appear, it makes sense to try these milder, sulfate-free products. A similar situation is with very dry or damaged hair, which always requires a more gentle cleansing.
If hair begins to fall out or grow poorly, use special tonic shampoos. They improve blood circulation, stimulate the hair follicles, strengthen hair and stimulate the growth of new ones. Most of these products have a cooling or warming effect due to menthol or peppermint, or due to the extract of hot pepper and other spices. Such a “temperature” effect causes a small spasm of the vessels, as a result of which the microcirculation of the blood increases and metabolic processes in the scalp are established.
On any part of the skin, keratinized cells gradually accumulate, which impede the access of oxygen and slow down the regeneration processes. Therefore, from time to time, the scalp needs to be done peeling. To do this, there are special products that contain mechanical water-soluble abrasives or a small percentage of AHA acids. Look for similar products among professional and pharmacy brands.
To solve problems with a sudden dandruff There are mild moisturizing shampoos. Prefer those that contain bisabolol, extracts of chamomile and lavender, vegetable oils. But dandruff can also be caused by a fungal infection. Therefore, many therapeutic shampoos contain antifungal components, such as ketoconazole. Other tools work at the expense of zinc, selenium, which increase the local immunity of the scalp and improve its condition.
Dry shampoo indispensable in situations where you need to refresh your hair, but there is no way to wash it. It works due to special absorbent substances that absorb skin oil and thus return the natural shine and volume to curls. Nevertheless, dry shampoo is an SOS product that temporarily restores freshness to the hair, but does not replace washing.
